Sidda
The Level 1 Siddha Livelihood lessons began with a review of
energy saving and its connection to natural cooling. Students
took pledges with their families, became household energy
monitors, and revisited the concept of Pancha Bootham (five
elements) with a focus on fire and water. They explored how
natural cycles like heat and coolness affect the human body,
using activities like cucumber eye packs and oil application
to learn about traditional cooling practices. Through stories
like that of Surya Kalai and Chandra Kalai, they understood
the importance of balance in nature and within the body,
connecting it to brain function and breathing techniques. They
also learned the roles of Lord Murugan and Lord Vinayakar in
regulating body heat and coolness through logic and calmness.
Breathing practices were introduced to balance energy and
enhance alertness. The course concluded with students
categorising cooling foods and herbs, linking natural cooling to
reduced electricity use and promoting sustainable living
