PSM integrates a self-evaluation method into its teaching and learning approach to help students actively assess their own understanding. After each session, students reflect on what they have learned, identifying both their strengths and areas that need improvement.
This approach encourages independent learning and critical thinking, allowing students to take ownership of their progress rather than relying solely on teacher feedback. At the same time, it provides teachers with valuable insight into each student’s level of understanding, enabling more effective and targeted guidance.
To ensure consistency, PSM has developed structured assessment forms for each level. These forms are designed according to students’ learning stages, with clear and simple criteria that help them evaluate their progress in a meaningful way.
Assessment by Levels
Level 1
Simple responses to build basic awareness:
- “I understand”
- “I don’t understand”
Level 2
More guided reflection on learning needs:
- “I don’t understand”
- “I need help to understand”
- “I understand”
Levels 3 & 4
Deeper self-reflection and learning awareness:
- “I understand”
- “I can implement”
- “Need effort”
- “Need help”
- “Difficult for me”
- “Cannot understand”
This structured self-evaluation system supports both effective teaching and meaningful student development, helping learners become more aware, confident, and responsible in their learning journey.
